Arrest made in woman's overdose death

Local Arrest in Overdose

At 5:15am Friday morning, officers with the Foley Police Department responded to Baldwin Health ER for a deceased adult female. The initial investigation revealed signs of a drug overdose and led officers to an address in the 500 block of E Michigan Ave where a search warrant was conducted.


Police investigators found marijuana, cocaine and other narcotics in the home where the deceased had been staying. Upon seizure of the evidence, Foley Police arrested the deceased woman's boyfriend, Charles Hatcher Jr.,


The woman has been identified as Ivy Jade McWilliams and was 44 years of age.


Foley Police are continuing their investigation and we will update this story with any new information from officials.
