Baldwin Sheriffs are responsible for Fort Morgan patrols

Baldwin County Sheriffs at Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a large beach area for the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office to patrol. Much of it remains undeveloped without roads and paths to the shores. Sheriff Anthony Lowery announced that their department is ready for the challenge of protecting Fort Morgan this summer.

In an announcement on social media the Sheriff showed off a new Jeep, specifically designed to tackle the environment of South Baldwin beaches. The Sheriff's office stated "This unit represents our continued commitment to making sure our deputies have the tools and equipment they need to serve and protect our communities and visitors across Baldwin County, including our beautiful beaches. This new vehicle enhances our ability to respond, navigate, and serve along our coastline."

The new vehicle will be assigned to the Coastal Enforcement Unit,  which also have small ATVs to patrol the beaches and brush areas.

The Sheriff's office added "We’re proud of the work being done by this team every day, and grateful to our shop for the outstanding job putting this vehicle together!"

They remined the public that "If you see Cpl. Holt Johnson out in the Jeep this Spring Break or summer, be sure to say hi, snap a photo, tag us, and maybe even get a duck! Be safe out there!"
