Cities plan for special events

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels have released their show schedules for 2026 and 2027, giving fans a long look at where the team plans to perform for the next 2 years. The schedule includes dozens of air shows across the country, from spring through fall. The team also reminded visitors that air shows and practices can change without notice. Officials urged the public to check for updates before traveling.

The Blue Angels left for their Winter Training in El Centro, California, on Tuesday, January 6th. The first show of the 2026 season is scheduled to begin March 14 at NAF El Centro, California, with the NAF El Centro Festival of Flight. It continues with an air show at NAS Lemoore, California, on March 21–22. We expect the Blues will return to their home base at NAS Pensacola around March 24th before their air show at NAS Meridian, Mississippi, on March 28–29. April dates include Cocoa Beach, Florida, on April 11–12 and NAS Kingsville, Texas, on April 18–19. The season ends with the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show at NAS Pensacola, Florida, on Nov. 6–7.

The 2027 schedule starts March 13 at NAF El Centro, California, and then moves to Sacramento, California, on March 20–21. April includes MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, on April 3–4, and in Lakeland, Florida, on April 10–11. The team returns to Pensacola Beach, Florida, on July 17. The season wraps up with the 2027 Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show at NAS Pensacola on Nov. 5–6.

In both years, the schedule features events from Florida to Alaska and from California to New England. Major summer stops include Seattle’s Boeing Seafair Air Show in early August for both 2026 and 2027. Other highlighted locations in 2026 include Baltimore, Maryland, on June 27–28, and San Francisco Fleet Week on Oct. 10–11.

The Navy also shared information for people hoping to watch practices at NAS Pensacola. The National Naval Aviation Museum has a viewing area where visitors can watch the team practice. After most Wednesday practices, the Blue Angels visit the museum to answer questions and sign autographs.

Visitors to NAS Pensacola public areas must present a government-issued ID. Acceptable IDs include state-issued driver’s licenses and passports. Access to NAS Pensacola’s areas of public interest is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Visitors must enter through the West Gate only, located on the south end of Blue Angel Parkway.

Additional rules apply for drivers and international visitors. Vehicle operators must have a valid driver’s license. A U.S. citizen must escort foreign nationals. Non-Department of Defense ID cardholders visiting Barrancas National Cemetery may enter through the front gate.

The Blue Angels thanked supporters and reminded the public that schedules can change without notice. More information is available on the team’s website here
