Crew Member in Stable Condition after Coast Guard Rescue

On Monday, the Coast Guard rescued a 50-year-old man from a 302-foot vessel about 80 miles south of Dauphin Island. The crew member was showing signs of a heart attack.
The captain of the ship called the Coast Guard in Mobile at 2:17 p.m. He asked for help to get the crew member to a hospital.
The Coast Guard sent a plane and a helicopter to help. The helicopter landed on the ship. They took the man and flew him to a hospital in New Orleans.
Doctors at the University Medical Center in New Orleans checked the man and reported that he was in stable condition.
