Gulf Shores Announces Inaugural Tinsel Trail

Gulf Shores Christmas Tree Trail

Gulf Shores, AL. — (GSN) — Now that Halloween is over, attention across the community is officially turning to the Christmas season. Gulf Shores, widely known for its parks amongst other natural walkways, is adding a new holiday display to Sims Park with the Gulf Shores Junior City Council’s inaugural Christmas Tree Tinsel Trail. This celebration will become a special memory each year for locals and visitors alike.

The Gulf Shores Junior City Council is seeking businesses, organizations, churches, civic groups, schools, families, and individuals to sponsor and decorate a tree along the trail. Tree sponsorships are $100 and include a Christmas tree along with a personalized recognition sign displaying the sponsor's name.

This new tradition offers a wonderful opportunity for local businesses to give back to the community while allowing individuals to show off their artistic skills. Imagine the array of amazing, imaginative themes that will bring each tree to life along the path. Strolling through Sims Park during the holiday season promises to be a delightful experience for locals and visitors alike as they take in the festive displays.

All proceeds from the sponsorships will support the Junior City Council's participation in the Angel Tree Program through the Christian Service Center, enabling local students to purchase Christmas gifts for children in need.

For more details or to sponsor a tree, visit the Gulf Shores Junior City Council Christmas Tree Tinsel Trail page or contact Public Engagement Manager Lauren Traywick at ltraywick@gulfshoresal.gov or (251) 968-4308.
