Dolphins Are 7-0 After Win At Home

Ranked #1 in the State and a 7-0 Start to the season

The Gulf Shores High School varsity football team is now 7-0 on the year after an impressive win against the Williamson Lions. Gulf shores jumped out with 24 unanswered points in the first half.


Dolphin, Kolin Wilson, started the fun with a 50+ yard TD run. That was later followed by a PICK-6 by Braden Jackson. Will Langston added the point after and it was already 14 to 0 in the first quarter.


Gulf Shores' Jamichael Garrett recovered a fumble by Williamson and Ronnie Royal later ran it in for a touchdown. At the end of the half Will Langston added a field goal.


The Williamson Lions came out strong in the third quarter, scoring two touchdowns but missing one PAT. Ronnie Royal of Gulf Shores answered back with a TD and gave the Dolphins an 18 point lead.


After Jamichael Garrett recovered a fumble for Gulf Shores, the Fins gave possession back to Williamson on downs.


Gulf Shores Defense then scored a PICK-6 when Isaiah Hammac took it 60 yards for the TD.


Once the 4th Quarter started Gulf Shores led 38-13.  Kolin Wilson was able to score rushing touchdown in the 4th and the game ended with a Gulf Shores win, 45-13.


Gulf Shores still has three games remaining in their regular season. One will be against Vigor, who was also undefeated before struggling tonight with Faith Academy. Vigor lost  (21-13) .  The Dolphins have previously played Faith Academy this year and won 31-16.

Tracking fish with sonar has been available to the public since 1948, when the famous Furuno brothers introduced the product in their native Japan. A 'salty' charter captain might add that it was Lowrance that brought it to the U.S. fishing market. But whomever you credit, NOAA has now combined it with artificial intelligence (AI) to provide better chart mapping and even fish count locations of fish in the gulf. The results could impact local fishing seasons in the future.

It’s Saturday morning, the second day of the 6A Section 1 Track Meet at Saraland High School. Coach Brewer has piloted the Dolphins bus to this place several times this season, but today a thick, milky fog has engulfed the panorama, limiting the vision of what’s ahead, save for head coach Jason Hill. He’s studied today’s upcoming events and is hopeful for the upset.

A decorated urn containing human ashes washed up on Gulf Shores beach this past week, starting a mystery that local police have now solved. The container was discovered by people walking along the shore on West Beach on April 17. The urn had no name or identification on the outside.
