Famous CNN host has strong Alabama ties

CNN Host Kaitlin Collins stated

A famous CNN reporter and news anchor has mentioned she will get married at local landmark when that day arrives. Rumors have been circulating around the nation concerning her love life. On Friday she appeared on Jon Stewart's podcast and answered some questions about her recent dating buzz.

Kaitlan Collins of CNN confirmed she's not married to a person. Given her steady career ascent, it's clear that Collins is wholly passionate about her journalism job. But she added that if she were to get married the location would be on the Alabama-Florida line.

"Because I have said previously that if I ever get married, I want to get married at the Flora-Bama because I love it so much," she shared. "What I love about the Flora-Bama is that you can be there on a Saturday night listening to some cover band. There's underwear lining the walls and hanging from the ceilings." She continued, "And then on Sundays they host church. ... So you can go and go to the service, get a bloody Mary while you're there, it's great."

It is not often that famous people announce their wedding plans in advance but as locals say "You never know who you will see at the Flora-Bama."

Kaitlan Collins is no stranger to Alabama. The television news personality was born in Prattville and graduated from the University of Alabama. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and journalism in May 2014.

During the Weekly Show podcast Jon Stewart told Collins that Alabama had a good comedy scene but the was an area on the Florida/Alabama line. Collins immediately stated "Do you have a problem with that?" She then told details of her dream wedding at the location.

Jon Stewart said that he remembered the Flora-Bama was like international waters. He added "When you were in this jurisdiction of this bar it was like being on silk road."
