This initiative is designed to turn the growing momentum of the downtown district into a sustainable community movement, focusing on the integration of art, music, and vibrant public spaces.

While Foley is widely recognized as a gateway to the coast—located just a few miles from the pristine white-sand beaches of the Gulf—the city has rapidly evolved into a destination in its own right. "Foley Main Street is on a mission to make our downtown a vibrant and welcoming destination in the region," said Wes Abrams, President of the Foley Main Street Community Foundation. "But to do that, we need more than just plans—we need a family. This program isn't just about a donation; it’s about becoming part of the heartbeat of our town".

The "Friends of Downtown Foley" program seeks to fund high-impact projects that enhance the safety and aesthetic appeal of the historic district, including:
