Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Both Suffered Loss In High School Football

News Staff • September 6, 2025

Both local teams took a loss on the same night

Gulf Shores High School Football

The weather for Friday night was great for football but unfortunately the stars did not shine for local teams. Gulf Shores traveled to Saraland and faced the undefeated Spartans. The Dolphins were able to get on the scoreboard early but eventually fell behind and the Saraland Spartans won the game 43-14.

The Gulf Shores varsity football team next has a home conference game vs. McGill-Toolen of Mobile.

The Orange Beach Makos played in their new stadium in front of a packed house. Unfortunately the crowd energy was dampened by the Bayside Academy Admirals. Bayside scored early and never looked back with a 42 to 13 win over the Makos. Orange Beach (2-1 season record) will next face W.S. Neal in Brewton.

Both local high schools play in a very competitive region and are sure to have exciting games this season. Make you to get all your local sports news on Sunny 105.7 radio. You can listen live on the radio and computer.
