Advance Auto Parts Partners with Gulf Shores PD for Safer Roads

Advanced Auto Parts

Advance Auto Parts, a major provider of automotive aftermarket parts, is collaborating with the Gulf Shores Police Department (GSPD) to enhance roadway safety. The initiative, named "Advancing Our Roads," was unveiled today at 11am, during the grand opening of the new Advance store located at 3808 Gulf Shores Parkway.

At the event, the Advance team donated $1,000 worth of gift cards to Deputy Chief Dan Netemeyer and the GSPD. These gift cards will be given to drivers as an alternative to fines for minor vehicle issues, like malfunctioning headlights or taillights, encouraging them to make necessary repairs.

Local officials, including Gulf Shores City Councilman Steve Jones and Greg Alexander, President and CEO of the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, will attend the ceremony. Bradley Wells, District Manager of Advance, emphasized the community-focused nature of the initiative, aimed at both residents and visitors of Gulf Shores.

This marks the first "Advancing Our Roads" program in Alabama’s Gulf Coast, adding to nearly 70 similar initiatives across the U.S. Deputy Chief Netemeyer highlighted the program’s potential to significantly enhance local safety efforts.

Motorists receiving these gift cards can redeem them at the Gulf Shores store, other locations across Alabama's Gulf Coast, or online at
www.AdvanceAutoParts.com.
