Kristian Bush to Rock Flora-Bama Tent Stage October 29th

Kristian Bush is set to perform on the Tent Stage at the Flora-Bama at 7:00pm on Sunday, October 29th. Bush is best known for being a member of the Sugarland duo, alongside Jennifer Nettles.

Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Bush has a rich family history, being the great-grandson of A.J. Bush, the founder of Bush Brothers and Company (Bush’s Baked Beans). Bush grew up in Sevierville, Tennessee, which is also the hometown of the legendary Dolly Parton.

Bush's musical journey began in college when he was the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band "Storyteller". He later formed the folk rock duo "Billy Pilgrim" with Andrew Hyra. However, it was with Sugarland that Bush gained significant recognition. Founded in 2002, Sugarland achieved immense success, with over 22 million album sales worldwide, five No. 1 singles, and numerous awards.

Bush's solo career also saw significant milestones. He has won six BMI Awards for his songwriting skills and founded the music publishing company "Songs of the Architect". His solo debut was in 2013 at the C2C: Country to Country Festival in London. His first solo single, "Trailer Hitch", was released in 2014, followed by his solo album "Southern Gravity" in 2015. Following this, he released four more solo albums via Big Machine Records between 2022 and 2023. In 2023, he also introduced an EP named "Drink Happy Thoughts" under his label, Songs Of The Architect.

Tracking fish with sonar has been available to the public since 1948, when the famous Furuno brothers introduced the product in their native Japan. A 'salty' charter captain might add that it was Lowrance that brought it to the U.S. fishing market. But whomever you credit, NOAA has now combined it with artificial intelligence (AI) to provide better chart mapping and even fish count locations of fish in the gulf. The results could impact local fishing seasons in the future.
