The City of Gulf Shores has announced the 2025 Winter Concert Series, featuring a diverse lineup of performances aimed at entertaining audiences of all ages. With shows ranging from country music legends to jazz tributes, the 2025 season promises memorable experiences at the Erie H. Meyer Civic Center. All shows will start at 7:00pm and tickets for all of these events will be available starting October 22nd.


The concert series will feature a mix of country, theatrical storytelling, jazz, and Motown classics, offering something for everyone. Country music icon Larry Gatlin will bring his well-loved hits and storytelling charm to the stage, promising an evening filled with classic country tunes and heartfelt lyrics. "EINSTEIN!" will provide a dramatic portrayal of Albert Einstein's life, focusing on his personal and professional trials in 1914 Berlin. Jack Fry's performance will offer audiences a chance to see Einstein beyond the equations, capturing his humanity and resilience. "What a Wonderful World" will celebrate the timeless music of jazz legends Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, with Longineu Parsons and Tina Fabrique leading the tribute. This performance will bring to life the magic and legacy of two of the greatest jazz artists in history. "Forever Motown" will close out the 2025 series with an energetic celebration of Motown's biggest hits, featuring beloved songs from The Supremes, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, and more. This lively show will get audiences dancing and singing along to some of the most iconic songs of the Motown era.


The 2025 Winter Concert Series schedule includes:


Larry Gatlin - January 27 and 28
Country music legend Larry Gatlin will kick off the series with two performances. Known for his work with the Gatlin Brothers, Larry has a rich career, including writing songs for Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Barbra Streisand. He also pursued musical theater and earned recognition in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2019.


EINSTEIN! - February 3 and 4
"EINSTEIN!" tells the true story of Albert Einstein's challenges in 1914 Berlin, performed by Jack Fry. The play provides insight into Einstein's personal and professional struggles, showcasing his resilience and the development of his groundbreaking theories. The performance promises humor and heart, exploring the story behind Einstein's famous image.


What a Wonderful World - February 10 and 11
This tribute performance features the legendary music of Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. World-class trumpeter Longineu Parsons and vocalist Tina Fabrique, known for her portrayal of Ella, will bring their classic hits to life. Attendees can expect an unforgettable celebration of jazz history.


Forever Motown - February 17 and 18
"Forever Motown" will bring together Motown's greatest hits in a spectacular showcase. Attendees can look forward to timeless songs from The Four Tops, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, and more. This energetic show promises a sing-along and dance-along experience for all ages.


All shows will begin at 7 p.m. at the Erie H. Meyer Civic Center, located at 1930 West 2nd St. Individual tickets are $40 and must be purchased for entry. Tickets go on sale on October 22 at 10 a.m. and can be bought in the following ways:

  • In Person: Purchase tickets at the Gulf Shores City Store, located at 1821 Gulf Shores Pkwy, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A decorated urn containing human ashes washed up on Gulf Shores beach this past week, starting a mystery that local police have now solved. The container was discovered by people walking along the shore on West Beach on April 17. The urn had no name or identification on the outside.

The Gulf Shores International Airport is preparing for their future growth and addition of a national airline service. Allegiant Airlines is scheduled to begin it's round-trip airlines service in May. Initially the flight will service six different cities with direct flights to Gulf Shores. The airport is rapidly finishing work on a new passenger terminal to accommodate the non-stop airline service.

The Police Chief in Panama City even posted that their community would have to stop being a spring break town. Incidents in Myrtle Beach, Daytona and Miami have those cities questioning the future of spring break along those beaches.
