Orange Beach High School Setting New Standard In Graduation Rate

The school anticipates 100% graduation rate in 2025

The Class of 2025 at Orange Beach High School is setting a new standard. Every senior will graduate this year, marking the second straight year with a 100% graduation rate. All the Orange Beach Seniors earned credentials that prepare them for college or careers. Their impact has reached beyond academics, influencing the entire school culture.
Ever since the cities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach started their own City School Systems there has been state-wide attention to the progress of local students. Many other communities have watched the schools and considered their own systems if these students do well. The new school systems have not been built without controversy.

Orange Beach ranked 24th in the Best Public High Schools in Alabama, according to the Niche Report in 2024. With the graduation and STEM rates rising at both schools, the ranking are expected to rise for 2025.
The Orange Beach graduation ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025. School officials announced the class’s accomplishments in a release on Wednesday, May 21. This group is the first to attend Orange Beach schools from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Orange Beach High earned several top honors during the school year.
- The Attorney General’s Safe School Award recognizes efforts to ensure a secure and supportive learning environment.
- State Championships in Cheerleading and Softball, the softball team’s win marked its fifth straight state title.
Superintendent Randy Wilkes praised Student Government leaders Alex Addison and Libby Tierce. He said their leadership brought “The Mako Way” to life through unity, purpose, and character.
School officials say the Class of 2025 has created a legacy of excellence. Their example will guide students for years to come.
