Orange Beach Hosts First Coastal Alabama Business Expo

The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber's Small Business Council will host the Inaugural Coastal Alabama Business Expo on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, at the Orange Beach Event Center. The event allows businesses and residents to meet and is completely FREE to attendees.


The event, presented by SimpliHOM Alabama, is designed to connect local business owners, entrepreneurs, and residents while showcasing the products and services of businesses throughout Coastal Alabama. The Expo will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m..


"We’re excited to bring this new event to the community," said Tim Lower, Chairman of the Chamber's Small Business Council. "This Expo is about creating connections and fostering growth for businesses of all sizes.”


According to the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance, the county is the 7th fastest growing metro area in the United States. Each month there are new retail stores, restaurants, real estate, construction and other industries opening their doors in the community.


Now new and established businesses can share and showcase their product to the public, while connecting with other business services. The expo will feature business that provide for year-round services to locals and tourist alike. Some of the industries featured can include:

A decorated urn containing human ashes washed up on Gulf Shores beach this past week, starting a mystery that local police have now solved. The container was discovered by people walking along the shore on West Beach on April 17. The urn had no name or identification on the outside.

The Gulf Shores International Airport is preparing for their future growth and addition of a national airline service. Allegiant Airlines is scheduled to begin it's round-trip airlines service in May. Initially the flight will service six different cities with direct flights to Gulf Shores. The airport is rapidly finishing work on a new passenger terminal to accommodate the non-stop airline service.

The Police Chief in Panama City even posted that their community would have to stop being a spring break town. Incidents in Myrtle Beach, Daytona and Miami have those cities questioning the future of spring break along those beaches.
