Orange Beach To Reveal The School's New $40+ Million Athletic Center

Ribbon cutting and open house this week

The Orange Beach City City Schools will officially open their $46.1 million dollar athletics center this week. Members of the City Council and MAAAC announced the ribbon cutting event set for Wednesday at 10am inside the new gymnasium.
Later that day the Varsity Volleyball team will host hosts the Area Tournament with games at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
If you cant make the ribbon cutting, there will be an open house event on Friday from 3:30–6:00 p.m. and then the Makos homecoming versus Mobile Christian will kickoff at 7:00 p.m..

The new facilities include a football field, stand and training area. They also have state-of-the-art track and field options along with support staff offices and fitness areas. The gymnasium was built to host local tournament and events.
School Superintendent Randy Wilkes stated that the facilities were built to resistant to most storm events and that he expected them to last over 100 years.
