New council members will be sworn in

City of Orange Beach Council

Orange Beach will welcome its new city leadership at an upcoming ceremony and celebration. The Orange Beach City Council will hold its organizational meeting to mark the start of a fresh four-year term. City residents are invited to attend the event, which combines official business with community fellowship. The gathering will take place at the Orange Beach Community Center.

The organizational meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, November 3rd. The ceremony will include the swearing-in of all incoming council members and the mayor. This marks the official beginning of their new four-year term in office.

After the formal proceedings conclude, the city's monthly community potluck will begin. The main dish of fried chicken will be provided for attendees. Guests who plan to join the meal are asked to bring side dishes and desserts to share with others.

The event represents a change to the usual November schedule. The police and fire awards that typically take place during the November gathering have been rescheduled. These recognition ceremonies will now be held at the Orange Beach Community Association's January potluck instead.

The combined event offers residents a chance to witness local government in action. It also provides an opportunity for community members to meet their newly sworn-in leaders in a relaxed setting. The potluck tradition has long been a way for Orange Beach residents to connect with each other and their elected officials.

City officials encourage all interested residents to attend both the organizational meeting and the potluck dinner. The Community Center provides space for the public to observe the swearing-in ceremony. The informal meal afterward allows for conversation and celebration as the new council begins its work serving Orange Beach.
