Jeep Fest Approved For Gulf Shores Hangout

New event will take place at the Hangout in September

Gulf of America Jeep Fest

Gulf Shores, Ala. — (GSN) — A first-time event has been approved by the Gulf Shores City Council. The Gulf of America Jeep Fest will take place near the Hangout, at Gulf Place. The event is scheduled for September 24 - 27, 2026.


The Director of Recreation & Cultural Affairs, Grant Brown, presented the outline and agenda for the new event to the council members. He stated the event attendance was expected to be as high as a thousand people a day and the event would be open from 9am to 10pm each day.


The Jeep Fest will be located on the grounds of Gulf Place and Hangout property. There would be no reason to stop or redirect any traffic for the event.


Mr. Brown added that the event would add to potential business revenue because it will occur in a historically "softer" time of the year for visitors.


The Gulf Place property will be the location of Hangout Vendor Village, with the primary request being to set up tents on the town green featuring jeep accessories, gear, and a custom jeep showcase, as well as performances at the Hangout's courtyard.


The event will be family friendly and the Hangout will be responsible for all parking. Currently there are already 75 vendors registered for the Jeep Fest.


After asking a few questions, the Gulf Shores City Council adopted the permit without any opposition.
