Gulf Shores, Ala. – (GSN) – A vibrant new marine life mural now covers the side of the Surf Style building at Beach Boulevard and Highway 59, marking the official unveiling of a major public art installation by world-renowned artist Wyland. The striking new landmark is already drawing significant attention from both locals and visitors.

The unveiling kicked off with a private VIP reception, where Wyland met with local artists, Gulf Shores City School officials, community dignitaries, and regional conservationists to discuss their shared passion for art, education, and environmental stewardship.

Following the reception, public enthusiasm for the event exceeded expectations. Eager fans began lining up at 10:30 a.m., with the crowd eventually wrapping around the building. Many waited up to an hour for a chance to meet the artist, share personal stories of how his work has inspired them over the decades, and get memorabilia signed—ranging from books and shirts to vintage artwork from the 1990s.

The community response has been overwhelmingly positive, with residents expressing pride in Gulf Shores becoming home to a permanent Wyland piece.

According to Surf Style management, the mural represents the beginning of a long-term partnership with the artist. Moving forward, the company plans to feature Wyland merchandise in its stores and collaborate on future initiatives centered on marine conservation, education, and local community engagement.
