The parent company for Shrimp Basket is saying "Thank You" to local Police, Fire & Rescue, EMT, Lifeguards and emergency room staffs. In recognition of First Responders Day, Artistry Restaurants plans to deliver meals to police and fire stations on Monday, October 28. These deliveries will take place across Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi, where the restaurant chain operates.

CEO Bryan Lockwood emphasized the importance of thanking first responders, especially in light of the challenging 2024 hurricane season. "Our staff and guests have been through some trying times," Lockwood said. "This is our way of saying thank you to those who protect and serve."

The company expects to serve more than 800 first responders for all of its restaurants, including its Shrimp Basket locations. The participating restaurants in our area include those in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Foley in Alabama; and Gulfport, Mississippi Destin, Navarre, and Pensacola in Florida;.

This gesture acknowledges the continued work of first responders, who have been instrumental in supporting communities throughout recent storms and recovery efforts.

Congress designated October 28th as National First Responders Day in 2017. The resolution honors the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and all those who are first on the scene in stressful situations. Notably, the family of Sean Collier, a police officer ambushed and murdered during events related to the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, supported the resolution.

Each day along our coasts the first responders put themselves in danger to protect and save lives of locals and tourist.
