Monday, February 23rd- Looking for a fun way to spend your Monday afternoon filled with sunshine, games, and music? Visit the world-famous Flora-Bama bar, located right on the Alabama-Florida line. This venue offers exciting activities and a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy year-round. Join Rhonda Hart and friends for Free Bingo every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1 PM to 4 PM in the Flora-Bama Tent. Gather your friends, find your spot, and make new connections while enjoying the mellow beach atmosphere. If you have a great time, come back on the other days to play for prizes or to enjoy the good company. Tuesday, February 24th- Take a drive down to Tacky Jacks 2 in Fort Morgan for dinner and live music with a view. Feel like a local as you mingle with regulars while enjoying some great entertainment. Thursday, February 26th- Last week, you may have seen robotic pups featured in the Gulf Shores Mardi Gras parades, either in person or online, and wondered what they were all about and where this technology is headed. While there may not be four-legged robots for this event, you’ll be able to meet the ‘Neo-Robot Butler’—yes, you read that correctly, a robotic butler! This month's Tech Talk focuses on the future of humanoid robotics and the advancements we can expect with AI and other technologies. From 2:30 to 5:30 PM, guests will have the chance to learn how these robots can assist with tasks at home and work, how they will integrate into future markets, and how their presence will impact society at all levels. Sunday, February 29th- Join Orange Beach Parks and Recreation for a 14-Day Spring Wellness Challenge starting on the first day of March from 10 AM to 1 PM. It's time to say goodbye to holiday excess and reset your goals with a focus on your health. This challenge is designed for those looking to connect with like-minded individuals who can become accountability partners over the two weeks, helping each other stay motivated and driven all year long. Whether you choose to participate solo or as part of a group, this challenge is a fantastic way to kick-start your health journey and gain insights into nutrition, physical endurance, and cultivating a new mindset. Participants will receive a workbook guide and daily emails from the OBP&R team to help maintain focus throughout the 14 days. In addition to following the guide, you will have the opportunity to attend various in-person workouts and learning sessions. Some of these may have a small fee, while others are free.
