Two Local Restaurants Have Started A "Weekend Brunch" Tradition

Brunch in Gulf Shores

There has been brunch on Sunday for many years but now two Gulf Shores restaurants have expanded brunch to a weekend event. Eggs Benedict, Monte Cristo Sandwich and even a brunch burger or some of the specialties now available on Saturday or Sunday.


Bleus Burger and Savanna Restaurant are the two locations who have recently added on the "weekend brunch" dates to their locations in Gulf Shores. Susan Ellis and Scott Keel, owners of Bleus Burger, stated that many patrons had been asking for the special on the traditional Sunday so why not make it a weekend tradition?


Savanna is the new restaurant located at the Gulf Shores Zoo. Their owner, Chef John Davis, opened the property after his many years at Sunset Corkroom.


Bleus Burger is located at 3800 Gulf Shores Pkwy Suite 240, in Gulf Shores, directly across from the Pelican Place movie theater. They serve brunch from 7AM - 3PM. Below is a sample of their menu:

Savanna Restaurant is 20499 Oak Road East, Gulf Shores. inside the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo complex. They offer brunch from 10AM - 3PM. Their Brunch menu is below:

Tracking fish with sonar has been available to the public since 1948, when the famous Furuno brothers introduced the product in their native Japan. A 'salty' charter captain might add that it was Lowrance that brought it to the U.S. fishing market. But whomever you credit, NOAA has now combined it with artificial intelligence (AI) to provide better chart mapping and even fish count locations of fish in the gulf. The results could impact local fishing seasons in the future.

It’s Saturday morning, the second day of the 6A Section 1 Track Meet at Saraland High School. Coach Brewer has piloted the Dolphins bus to this place several times this season, but today a thick, milky fog has engulfed the panorama, limiting the vision of what’s ahead, save for head coach Jason Hill. He’s studied today’s upcoming events and is hopeful for the upset.

A decorated urn containing human ashes washed up on Gulf Shores beach this past week, starting a mystery that local police have now solved. The container was discovered by people walking along the shore on West Beach on April 17. The urn had no name or identification on the outside.
