Tyrus has been a wrestling champion, political contributor, life reflecting comedian and a New York Times best selling author. Now he is coming to Gulf Shores for a one-night event.


George “Tyrus” Murdoch stands 6-foot-7 and 375 pounds. As his ticket site states "Prepare yourself for a rollercoaster of laughs with Tyrus, the comedian whose towering presence is only matched by his ability to crack up any audience. Tyrus will be performing at the Erie Meyer Civic Center in Gulf Shores on July 24, at 7:30PM. The tickets are on sale now for the limited capacity show.

Foley now offers 12 public pickleball courts and 10 sand volleyball courts near the Coastal Alabama Farmer's and Fishermen’s Market. The city officially opened the new courts on Monday, June 2. Just minutes after the 6 p.m. opening, all 12 pickleball courts were full. Each court had four players enjoying the new space.
