As the post-election landscape settles, our phones, radios, and television screens deserve a much-needed reprieve from the relentless stream of campaign advertisements, fundraising text messages, and hyper-partisan commentary. Until the 2028 election cycle inevitably gets underway, media outlets and digital platforms should pivot back toward community-focused reporting, local stories, and content that informs and connects rather than divides. Reclaiming these channels for constructive civic dialogue and balanced coverage gives residents the space to focus on everyday issues that directly affect their communities.
