Baldwin County Commission Earmarks funds for Prep School

The Baldwin County Commission announced their new education investment. In a decisive move to bolster education and workforce development, the Baldwin County Commission, during its Regular Session on December 19, 2023, resolved to allocate $5,000,000 to Baldwin County Public Schools. This investment, earmarked for the construction of the Baldwin Preparatory Academy, demonstrated their commitment to nurturing local talent and addressing the burgeoning needs of business and industry within the region. The new school is in it's final leg of construction and is scheduled to open in 2024.


The funding arrangement, structured as an annual disbursement of $1,000,000 over five years (Fiscal Years 2024 through 2028), signifies a long-term investment in the county's educational infrastructure and its youth. The Baldwin Preparatory Academy is envisioned as a cornerstone in creating a sustainable workforce, offering competitive career opportunities to the local youth of Baldwin County and the surrounding region.
