Gulf Shores, Ala. — (GSN) — The Baldwin Pops Band will hold its annual John Allen Memorial Scholarship Concert at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center. The concert is free and open to all. Wayne Fillingim will conduct the band for the performance. This year's theme is "Fiesta," celebrating Spanish musical flair.

The free concert is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2026, offering Baldwin County residents an opportunity to enjoy live music.

Sixteen high school seniors from across Baldwin County are participating in the 2026 scholarship competition. Students from Daphne High School, Fairhope High School, Foley High School, Orange Beach High School, and Spanish Fort High School were nominated to participate.

Band directors from all Baldwin County high schools are encouraged to nominate students to perform with the Baldwin Pops Band and compete for scholarships. The students must be seniors planning to pursue their musical involvement in college.

The Baldwin Pops Band has sponsored the annual scholarship contest for over 20 years. The program has consistently supported young musicians from throughout the county as they get ready to pursue college studies.

This year's Fiesta theme adds a Spanish touch to the stage. The concert promises a lively evening of music celebrating student talent and cultural inspiration.
