Make an appointment and donate blood to help save lives this holiday season

Gulf Shores Health News

The American Red Cross will hold a Thanksgiving Blood Drive at Orange Beach City Hall on Wednesday, November 27th. The Bloodmobile will be stationed at 4099 Orange Beach Boulevard from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., giving residents an opportunity to donate blood and help save lives during the holiday season.

All donors will receive two pairs of limited-edition socks inspired by the popular television show "Friends," adding a lighthearted incentive for those who contribute. The American Red Cross, which serves an essential role in maintaining a stable blood supply, encourages community members to schedule an appointment in advance to streamline the donation process.

Appointments can be booked by visiting the Red Cross website at
www.redcrossblood.org and entering the sponsor keyword "CITYOFOB" to locate the drive.

Residents of Orange Beach and surrounding areas are urged to participate in the event. Blood donations typically decline around the holidays, yet the demand for blood remains constant, making every donation particularly meaningful.
