Residents of Bear Point are preparing to celebrate the Mardi Gras season with one of the community’s favorite traditions. The Bear Point Mardi Gras Golf Cart Parade will bring neighbors and visitors together for an afternoon full of color, laughter, and local spirit. Each year, residents decorate their golf carts and line the streets to create a lively and family-friendly event. Organizers say this celebration reflects the warm community spirit that characterizes the east end of Orange Beach.

The parade will roll through the Bear Point neighborhood on Sunday, February 15, starting at 3 p.m. Families and friends will gather along the route to catch beads, candy, plush toys, and other festive items tossed from passing carts. The event attracts people of all ages, offering a fun, laid-back way to celebrate the Mardi Gras season.

After the parade, the festivities will go on at the OSO Restaurant at Bear Point Harbor. The official Joe Cain Day Party kicks off at 4 p.m. and includes live music from The Undertow Band. Guests can enjoy waterfront views, good company, and lively music as the celebration lasts into the evening.

Organizers invite everyone in the community to take part, whether by decorating a cart or just attending the parade. For residents, the Bear Point Mardi Gras Golf Cart Parade has become more than just an event—it’s an annual reminder of the fun and camaraderie that make the neighborhood special.
