Elberta German Sausage Festival Returns March 28

The Elberta German Sausage Festival is returning to Baldwin County, showcasing its signature flavors and community spirit. Presented by Brown Helicopter, the event is one of Elberta’s most beloved local traditions, attracting thousands of visitors for a day of food, fun, and fellowship. Admission is free, and the celebration provides entertainment for all ages.
The festival will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, beginning at 8 a.m. at Elberta Town Park. The spring edition of the event acts as a major fundraiser for the Elberta Volunteer Fire Department. Funds raised will also support community initiatives, local charities, and ongoing efforts to ensure the twice-yearly festival continues to thrive for future generations.
Festival-goers can explore nearly 200 arts and crafts vendor booths and several community organization stands. The main attraction, as always, is the famous Elberta German Sausage, served hot and fresh throughout the day. Cold beverages, including beer and Coca-Cola products, will also be available at multiple booths across the park.
Visitors will discover a variety of food options to suit every taste, from barbecue and roasted corn to kettle corn and traditional carnival fare. For families, a bounce house area will be available for children, with proceeds supporting the Elberta Police Department Reserve Program.
Sausage sandwiches cost $6 and are available with sauerkraut upon request. Payments can be made by cash, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Cash App. Event organizers remind guests that pets are not permitted on the festival grounds.
The event, which lasts about ten hours, celebrates the heart of Elberta’s small-town pride and hospitality. Organizers say they look forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to share in the tradition that continues to define the community’s friendly spirit.
