Gulf Shores has people from all walks of life: Even Authors

Tyler Smith Is A Gulf Shores Author

Gulf Shores, Ala. – (GSN) – When you picture Gulf Shores, Alabama, you might think of white sand, turquoise water, and a relaxed pace of life. But for local author Tyler Smith, the coast serves as the quiet backdrop for some intense literary action. Smith, who has made a name for himself as a writer of gripping political thrillers, is proving that you don’t need to be in a big city to craft a page-turner.

From Ohio Roots to Southern Shores

Born in 1970 outside of Elyria, Ohio, and the youngest of four children, Smith’s path to the Alabama coast was shaped by travel, experience, and service. A veteran who served in the U.S. Army, Smith eventually found his way to Gulf Shores, where he now enjoys hiking, the beach, and the local dog parks alongside his loyal Labrador, Booker.

The Thriller Series

Smith’s debut novel, The Age of Majority, was published in 2019, introducing readers to his ability to weave complex political narratives. He is now back with his latest release, The Salzburg Cut, a new entry in the Calvin Ducane thriller series.

Both titles are currently available for readers to explore on Amazon.

Catch Him on the Greens

If you are local to the area and want to chat with the author himself, you won’t have to look far. Smith is a regular on the golf course, and you can often find him hosting book signings at One Club immediately following his daily round. Whether you are a fan of political intrigue or just looking to support a talented local storyteller, be sure to stop by and say hello.
