Expect Excellence Music Department Honors Classic Rock With Tribute Show

The City of Orange Beach Expect Excellence Music Department is set to bring back the beloved classic rock tribute show, "Dream On: A Tribute to Classic Rock," for a winter reprise. Scheduled for February 22-24, 2024, at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center, the show promises to be a nostalgic journey through the greatest hits of classic rock history.


"Dream On" offers a unique opportunity for classic rock enthusiasts to experience live renditions of iconic tracks from legendary artists such as Elton John, Kansas, and Bon Jovi, among others. This City of Orange Beach original production aims to celebrate the enduring legacy and wide-reaching influence of classic rock music, ensuring there's something in the lineup for every attendee to enjoy.


All performances are slated to begin at 7 p.m., providing an evening filled with powerful music and memorable melodies. General admission tickets are priced at $15. Doors will open one hour before showtime, allowing guests ample time to settle in for the night's entertainment.


The Orange Beach Performing Arts Center, known for hosting various cultural and entertainment events, is the perfect venue for "Dream On." A bar with a history of being at odds with Gulf Shores city officials is going back before the city council asking permission to stay open until 3 a.m. After consulting with the police department, city staff is recommending the council deny the conditional use permit required by 'Hibas' in the Pelican Place shopping center. The matter will be one of the items on the Gulf Shores City Council work session agenda for June 16.
