Fire Crews Respond To Residential Fires In Bear Point

Bear Point homes engulfed by fire

Orange Beach, Ala. — (GSN) — Orange Beach Fire/Rescue crews were dispatched at 2:21 AM on Saturday to a structure fire in the 29,000 block of Bayshore Drive North in the Bear Point community.
Engine 2 arrived on the scene at 2:28 AM, reporting that a single-family home was fully involved in the fire, with an adjacent property partially involved. A coordinated response followed, involving Battalion 1, Truck 2, Rescue 3, Truck 3, and Engine 4. Additional support was provided by Gulf Shores Fire & Rescue and MedStar EMS, who also stood by to cover any further emergency needs within the city.
All occupants successfully evacuated both homes prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. Two individuals sustained minor injuries and received treatment from paramedics on-site; both declined hospital transport.
The incident resulted in major damage to two homes and two vehicles, while a third residence sustained minor damage.
The Orange Beach Fire Marshal's Office and the Alabama Fire Marshal's Office are currently investigating the cause of the fire. Orange Beach Fire & Rescue expressed their gratitude to the Gulf Shores Fire & Rescue, MedStar EMS, the Orange Beach Police Department, Baldwin EMC, CMC Gas, and Baldwin County 911 for their assistance during the emergency.
