Foley Police Investigating Weekend Shooting

Three suspects have been identified

The Foley Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened on South Juniper Street early Sunday morning. Officers were sent to the 1100 block after a report of gunfire. When they arrived, they found one victim with a gunshot wound. Police say the injury was serious and required immediate medical transport. Detectives and patrol officers have been working the case since the call came in. This remains an active investigation.


According to Foley Police, the call came in at approximately 2:30 a.m. today in the 1100 block of South Juniper Street in Foley, Alabama. Officers located a wounded victim at the scene. Because of the severity of the injury, the victim was airlifted to a regional hospital for treatment.


Police said the victim’s current condition is unknown. Detectives have identified three suspects connected to the case. All three are currently detained in connection with the investigation. No additional details about the suspects or possible charges were released as of press time.


Foley Police reported that officers and detectives have been working the scene and following leads. The department did not release information about what led up to the shooting. Officials have not identified the victim. Investigators did not provide details about any weapons recovered.
