Registration runs through early December for families in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan

The Christian Service Center has opened registration for its annual Children's Christmas Cheer program, which helps less fortunate families throughout the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan areas celebrate the holiday season. The program provides gifts for children and food boxes for families who need assistance during the holidays. Parents, grandparents, and guardians can register their children at the center's location on Dolphin Avenue in Gulf Shores.

Registration for the program began on October 14 and will continue through December 5, 2025. Families can sign up during designated afternoon hours at The Christian Service Center, located at 317 Dolphin Ave. in Gulf Shores.

The registration schedule varies by month to accommodate families. In October, parents can register from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Starting in November and continuing through December, the center expands registration hours to include Wednesdays as well, maintaining the same 1 to 3 p.m. time slot.

Every child who is registered will receive three specially chosen gifts. Additionally, each child receives three more age-appropriate and gender-appropriate gifts. The program serves children from birth through high school graduation who live in the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan communities.

Officials at the Christian Service Center encourage families to register early. Children whose families register sooner have a better chance of receiving exactly what they wish for during the holidays. The center distributes angel tags to community members and local churches as soon as toy requests come in from registered families.

The Christmas Cheer program offers more than just gifts for children. Families registering their children for Christmas presents can also sign up to receive a Christmas Food Box. These boxes contain all the non-perishable food items a family needs to prepare a wonderful Christmas meal together.

Each food box also includes a gift card that families can use to purchase a turkey, ham, or other protein of their choice. This ensures that families can enjoy a complete holiday meal regardless of their financial situation. The combination of gifts and food assistance helps make the holiday season special for families facing economic challenges.

The Christian Service Center relies on community support to make the Children's Christmas Cheer program possible each year. Local residents and churches serve as angels who purchase gifts for the registered children. This partnership between the service center and the community has helped countless families celebrate Christmas with joy and dignity.
