Beryl is Now A Hurricane Forecasted To Remain In Southern Gulf

Beryl will be the 1st hurricane and 2nd named storm of the season

Beryl is the first hurricane of the season and the second named storm of the year. The National Hurricane Center has issued advisories for the southwestern region of the Gulf of Mexico. While the storm does not appear to hold any imminent danger for the Alabama coast, we will provide updates as it enter the waters of the southern waters. Foley will review several bids for goods and services bought by the city in May, including one for $340,331 for the Wolf Creek stabilization project. The award went to Streamline Environment. A bar with a history of being at odds with Gulf Shores city officials is going back before the city council asking permission to stay open until 3 a.m. After consulting with the police department, city staff is recommending the council deny the conditional use permit required by 'Hibas' in the Pelican Place shopping center. The matter will be one of the items on the Gulf Shores City Council work session agenda for June 16.
