Two of the largest hospitality employers have scheduled upcoming job fairs. The tourism season is just around the corner and local outlets are staffing up the forecasted crowds. The Flora-Bama and Hangout Hospitality have announce their hiring events and the position in high demand.

The world-famous Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar is preparing for a busy 2026 season by launching a large-scale recruitment effort. The Gulf Coast landmark, a cornerstone of entertainment and hospitality, has announced a two-day job fair to help fill more than 200 positions. Known for its live music, community events, and signature beach atmosphere, the venue is seeking motivated individuals eager to join its dedicated team. Managers say they aim to meet and hire qualified candidates directly at the event.

The job fair will take place on Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Interviews will be conducted at the Flora-Bama Tent Stage, where applicants can speak with hiring managers about available opportunities. Event organizers encourage job seekers to attend early, as several positions may be filled on the spot.

Flora-Bama officials said the company currently has openings in five divisions, including the main bar, liquor store, marina, and two waterfront restaurants. Wage increases have been introduced across several kitchen roles. Dishwashers will earn $18 per hour, prep cooks and oyster shuckers $20 per hour, and line cooks $22 per hour. Management hopes the higher pay will attract experienced talent for the season ahead.

Beyond competitive wages, Flora-Bama continues to expand its employee benefits to help staff manage today’s economic challenges. A variety of positions are available, including servers, hosts, bartenders, gift shop staff, maintenance workers, and door and security personnel. Managers plan to make immediate offers for select roles during the fair, providing attendees a faster path to employment.
