Local High School Football Kicks Off: Scores, Stadiums and More

A new high school football season has begun

Football season has finally arrived at the beach. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach students are back in school and showing their team spirit this weekend. One has a completely new stadium and the other has invested over a million dollars in upgrades. You can hear every game this season LIVE on Sunny 105.7 and listen to the "Coaches Show" each Tuesday.


The Gulf Shores Dolphins took on the Choctawhatchee Indians Friday. The game remained tied until the fourth quarter when the Indians added a touchdown to hand the Dolphins a loss. The final score was 21 - 14. Next up will be Mary G. Montgomery and it will be a home game.


The Orange Beach Makos opened their season in a new stadium. Many of the local fans packed the new Orange Beach stadium for an exciting games against the Elberta Warriors. While Elberta cam out strong in the first quarter, the Orange Beach Makos dominated the second half and won the game 34 - 14. The next Makos game will be against Citronelle and is away.


Both local high schools play in a very competitive region and are sure to have exciting games this season. Make you to get all your local sports news on Sunny 105.7 radio.
