Jamichael Garrett is a Sophomore Linebacker at Gulf Shores

Gulf Shores Football News

Though Jamichael Garrett is only a Sophomore on the Gulf Shores Dolphin's football team, he is already being scouted and discussed by top-tier colleges. The LSU Wire recently mentioned Garrett on their recruiting news website.

The LSU writer, Kyle Richardson stated "Brian Kelly ventured to the Alabama coast to find a talented safety who could make a difference in Baton Rouge in a couple of years. He will have to fight Hugh Freeze for him, though."

Jamichael Garrett is a 6'2", 205lb. linebacker for the Gulf Shores Dolphins. During this past 5A Championship season he was a defensive standout with stats that caught the attention of SEC football coaches.

  • Solo Tackles - 39
  • Total Tackles - 87
  • Sacks - 9.5
  • Interceptions - 1
  • Caused Fumbles - 2

While LSU and other colleges may have their eye on Garrett, according to the recruiting site ON3, Auburn may have the best chance at landing him for the 2026 recruiting season.

While it is early in Jamichael Garrett's recruiting journey, it is impressive how Coach Hudspeth and his Championship players garner the attention of Division 1 college football coaches.
