A new 2025 Shrimp Festival poster has been selected

2025 Shrimp Festival Poster

You may have walked into Happy Pappy Coffee and been met by a pleasant young lady with smile that brightens the day. If you have that could be Mallorie Papadelias, a member of the coffee shop's family ownership. She is a freelance graphic designer with her company MADesigns, but still helps around the shop at times.


The National Shrimp Festival has chosen a poster design by Mallorie Papadelias to be the official design of the 2025 event. Her winning design, originally created on canvas with acrylic paint, features a retro-inspired 'groovy' color scheme and style that pays homage to the festival’s 1971 origins.


A graduate of Spring Hill College in nearby Mobile, Alabama, Papadelias holds a B.A. in Graphic Design. As a freelance graphic designer with her company MADesigns, she has collaborated with local businesses to create logos, large-scale murals, hand-lettered signage, and other creative projects.

In addition to having her artwork showcased across the festival’s marketing and merchandise, Papadelias will receive a $1,000 cash prize and will appear at the event for a poster signing (time and location to be announced).


Posters will be available for purchase beginning at 10 a.m. on October 9th, the festival’s opening day. A limited run of 100 pre-signed, individually numbered copies will also be offered. The artwork will additionally appear on the official festival T-shirt and other merchandise.
