New Seafood Steamer business opening in Gulf Shores

Topsail Steamer, a family-owned seafood business originally founded on North Carolina's Topsail Island in 2016, is bringing its unique seafood steaming experience to the Alabama Gulf Coast. The new location in Gulf Shores marks an expansion for the company, which now operates ten stores across five states and ships its products nationwide.

The Gulf Shores location will open on October 4th at 1544 Gulf Shores Pkwy D, Gulf Shores AL 36542 (Across Hwy 59 from Rouses).

The Gulf Shores location is part of Topsail Steamer's growing presence in the Southeast. They plan to develop over 40 new stores across the country, increasing access to the company’s signature “Bay Buckets” – customizable seafood steam pots designed to be cooked at home.

Founded by Danielle Mahon, Topsail Steamer has become known for its fresh, high-quality seafood prepared using traditional coastal recipes. Mahon, who grew up in an entrepreneurial family, transitioned into the food industry from a corporate background and has successfully crafted a business that combines convenience with the flavors of a classic seafood steam pot.

Amber and Blake McGinley, longtime residents of Baldwin County, are excited to bring their passion for fresh, quality steamed seafood to the Gulf Shores community with their new Topsail Steamer location.

At the Gulf Shores location, customers will find a variety of signature and custom Bay Bucket options. Bay Buckets are packed with fresh seafood, meats and vegetables. Seafood options include: shrimp, snow crab legs, clams, oysters, scallops and lobster tail. These buckets come in a single-use pot ready to steam with 4 seasoning options including Topsail Steamer’s Classic (a signature Old Bay-style blend) and Jimmy’s Way (Classic with a Cajun twist). The simple instructions include adding water (or beer) and cooking directly on your stovetop, grill or anywhere you have a burner. The simplicity of the steaming process allows customers to enjoy a restaurant-quality seafood meal in their own homes, making it a popular choice for both locals and vacationers.
