Orange Beach MAAAC Fishing Rodeo

The Mobile Big Game Fishing Club is hosting the 2nd MAAAC Fall Fishing Rodeo at Orange Beach Marina. Anglers of all skill levels are invited to participate in this community fundraiser. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Orange Beach City Schools. The three-day tournament promises fun on the water while supporting local education.

The fishing rodeo runs from tomorrow, October 24th through October 26th. Participants can compete in multiple categories based on age and fishing style. Registration is currently open through the
tournament's online portal.

The event offers four main angler categories with different entry fees. Youth anglers aged 10 and under can register for $35 per person. Junior participants between 11 and 17 years old also pay $35 to enter. Adult anglers 18 and older have a registration fee of $50. There's also a Trash Can Slam category open to all ages for $35 per angler.

Each age group will compete for different fish species. The youngest anglers will target pinfish, croaker, speckled trout, redfish, and flounder. Junior participants aged 11 to 16 can catch speckled trout, redfish, flounder, B-liner, and red snapper. Adult anglers 17 and up will compete for speckled trout, redfish, flounder, red snapper, and amberjack.

The Mobile Big Game Fishing Club has organized this tournament to bring the fishing community together. The Orange Beach Marina provides an ideal location for the weekend event. Families and individual anglers can enjoy the competition while knowing their participation supports local students.
