New festival brings smiles to crowds and local businesses

Gulf Shores Event News

Sand In My Boots music festival has already proven to be a huge success for Gulf Shores and the surrounding areas. The new music festival was organized by the City and Morgan Wallen's group "Big Loud" over the past months, and the coordination is appreciated by attendees and locals alike.

As the final day of music wraps up the festival for thousands of visitors to Alabama's beaches, the participants and local business owners have accolades for the event. Compared to past festivals, Sand In My Boots stands out as a great match between crowds and locals. Business owners in Gulf Shores have bragged about the pleasant demeanor of the music fans. Crowds have spoken about how they want to come back to Gulf Shores every year.

One of the highlights was the transportation planning by the City of Gulf Shores. The thousands of ticket holders have been able to park at the many shuttle locations around the area. Those shuttle stops were located by local businesses that benefited from the many fans visiting their outlets.

The last day of Sand In My Boots closes with headliners Wiz Khalifa and the man behind it all, Morgan Wallen. While there may be a few who were not prepared for traffic detours, the City has posted numerous updates in the months prior to the festival. This planning showed daily in the ease of entrance and exit from the concert location.

The shoulder season events, like music festivals and volleyball tournaments, have helped local businesses and lodging rentals to gain revenue before the traditional summer season. That revenue also leads to more tax revenue, which benefits the entire community.
