A Cultural Haven on Wolf Bay

Coastal Arts Center in Orange Beach

Orange Beach, Ala. — (GSN) — The Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach, situated on a scenic four-acre waterfront property overlooking Wolf Bay, serves as a vital cultural cornerstone and artistic hub for the Alabama Gulf Coast community. Rooted in deep regional heritage, the center occupies a historic site that originally opened as a boarding house style hotel built in 1923. Today, it has been beautifully transformed into a welcoming environment for inspiration, learning, year-round classes, and major life celebrations. The campus features a magnificent 10,000-square-foot fine art gallery showcasing paintings, sculptures, and pottery from regional creators, alongside interactive spaces like The Clay Studio and The Hot Shop—a premier hot glass blowing studio where visitors can view live craft demonstrations and create their own pieces.

Continuing its mission to blend entertainment with community engagement, the Coastal Arts Center is bringing a stellar lineup of live music to Canal Road this fall.

The next concert, An Evening of Smooth Jazz Under the Stars, takes place on Thursday, October 1, 2026. On Sunday, October 11, 2026, the Baldwin Pops in the Courtyard will take the stage for a free public event. The series wraps up on Wednesday, November 11, 2026—Veterans Day—with the Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival and Songwriting With Soldiers.

Tickets for the November 11 Veterans Day concert go on sale September 1. The event pairs the well-known Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival with Songwriting With Soldiers, a program that brings together combat veterans and professional songwriters. The October 11 Baldwin Pops in the Courtyard concert is free and does not require a ticket.

Beyond its daily classes and gallery exhibitions, the Coastal Arts Center is renowned for signature events that draw national acclaim and deeply engage the local community. The Orange Beach Festival of Art, A cherished Gulf Coast tradition for over 50 years, this waterfront festival showcases fine art, live music, and culinary talent. It achieved massive distinction when it was named the 2025 Alabama Event of the Year and voted the "Best Art Show" in the nation by the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers' Choice Awards.
