Softball Powerhouses LSU and Florida State Heading to Orange Beach for Fall Exhibition Series

Bringing elite Division I softball directly to the Gulf Coast

LSU Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles

Orange Beach, Ala. — (GSN) — Orange Beach is preparing to host a marquee fall softball matchup featuring two top-tier collegiate programs, the LSU Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles. The two teams will square off in a pair of fall exhibition scrimmages hosted at the Orange Beach Sportsplex / Lady Makos' stadium.


Event Schedule

  • Game 1: Saturday, October 24 at 2:00 PM CST
  • Game 2: Sunday, October 25 at 11:00 AM CST
  • Location: Orange Beach Softball Stadium (Orange Beach Sportsplex)


Team Profiles

  • Florida State Seminoles: Florida State enters the fall action following a 52-10 campaign that concluded in the NCAA Regionals. The Seminoles boast a strong roster highlighted by returning All-American pitchers Ashtyn Danley and Jazzy Francik, as well as freshman All-Americans Anna Hinde and Makenna Sturgis.
  • LSU Tigers: LSU comes into the matchup following a 40-19 record and an NCAA Super Regional appearance last season. The Orange Beach games form a key road highlight in the Tigers' eight-game fall schedule.


Hosted in collaboration with the Orange Beach community and athletics program, these exhibition games bring elite Division I softball directly to the Gulf Coast, giving local fans and young athletes an opportunity to see SEC and ACC powerhouses compete in person.
