Report of suspicious vehicle led to arrest

Gulf Shores Police News

The Gulf Shores Police Department recovered a stolen vehicle and made a felony arrest early Monday. Officers responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle at 7:32 a.m. in the 1800 block of Pine Acres Road.

Witnesses described a damaged truck with its driver’s side door ajar and a male subject fleeing the scene, attempting to enter another vehicle nearby. Further investigation revealed the truck had been reported stolen from Robertsdale.

Officers quickly established a perimeter and deployed a K9 unit to assist in the search. As the investigation unfolded, several community members came forward with valuable information about the suspect and reported that their vehicles had also been broken into.

At 7:59 AM, the suspect was located on County Road 8 and taken into custody without incident. The individual, a 16-year-old male from Robertsdale, now faces multiple felony charges, including Possession of Stolen Property and Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle.

This remains an active investigation. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Gulf Shores Police Department at (251) 968-2851 or via email at gspdpio@gulfshoresal.gov.

We extend our sincere thanks to the community for their swift cooperation and continued partnership. Your vigilance played a critical role in helping us bring this case to a prompt resolution.
