Hudson Marina Pirate Adventure

Orange Beach, Ala. — (GSN) — If you look onto the local waters and see a menacing pirate ship, don't be scared. In fact, you may want to head to Hudson Marina in Orange Beach to investigate further.

The American Star is back and ready for action. The 65-foot wooden pirate ship based in Orange Beach is officially open for the summer season. Families seeking a one-of-a-kind Gulf Coast cruise now have a fun option just off the water. The ship offers 90 minutes of high-energy, pirate-themed fun for kids and adults alike.

The American Star is docked at Hudson Marina, 4575 S Wilson Blvd, Orange Beach, Alabama. Spots are expected to fill quickly. Families are encouraged to book early to secure their place on the cruise. The ship operates on a strict schedule and departs on time.

Once onboard, passengers can expect a packed agenda of interactive activities. Kids can take part in pirate training games and activities designed to keep them moving and engaged. Face painting is available, and every young pirate receives a free hat to take home. The crew also leads sword-fighting sessions and invites kids to help "put out fires" on deck.

The fun doesn't stop there. Singing, dancing, and legendary pirate storytelling are all part of the experience. The crew is trained to keep the energy high and the smiles even higher. Whether guests are local or visiting for the holiday weekend, the American Star promises a cruise to remember.

The ship is also known for keeping passengers cool during the hot summer months. According to the crew, pirates on board love to add a little water fun to the mix during the summer heat. Guests are advised to bring a towel or a change of dry clothes for the ride home. Sunscreen is strongly recommended for anyone boarding the vessel.

Booking is available
online, and families can also call the crew directly at 251.981.4127. Guests are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before their cruise to check in. The ship is easy to find at Hudson Marina on South Wilson Boulevard. With Memorial Day weekend just around the corner, organizers say now is the time to lock in a spot before they're gone.
