One Final Soak Before the School Bell Rings

Waterville End of Summer Special

Gulf Shores, Ala. — (GSN) — As the calendar opens to August, the familiar buzz of back-to-school preparation begins. With local schools scheduled to resume classes on Wednesday, August 12, families have one final window to trade textbooks for inner tubes. There is no better way to cap off the break than with a high-energy visit to Waterville USA, where the summer sun is still shining and the slides are waiting.

The park is currently maintaining its daily summer schedule, remaining open seven days a week through Sunday, August 9, 2026. After this date, the park will transition to weekends-only operations starting Saturday, August 15, making this week the absolute best time to get your daily summer fix before the routine of the school year takes over.

Honoring Our Local Heroes

In addition to the seasonal fun, Waterville is taking time this August to show deep appreciation for the men and women who keep our community safe. The park has designated Monday, August 3, through Friday, August 7, 2026, as First Responders Discount Week.

During this special tribute, active Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters are eligible for a significantly reduced admission rate to the Water Park. It serves as a thank-you for their tireless dedication to local safety.

Important Visit Reminders

To ensure your final summer outing is seamless, keep the following logistics in mind:

  • In-Park Exclusive: The First Responders discount is only available for tickets purchased at the entry gate ticket window on the day of your visit; it cannot be redeemed through online purchases.
  • Individual Hero Use: The $10 rate applies exclusively to the individual badge holder and does not extend to additional family members.
  • Operational Shift: Remember that daily operations conclude after Sunday, August 9. If you miss this week, your next opportunity to visit will be the weekend of August 15.

Don't let the season slip away without one last epic adventure. Whether you are conquering thrilling waterslides or drifting down the lazy river, now is the time to make every splash count.
