As alligator season ends in some districts, records are reported

As Alabama's alligator hunting season comes to an end in some districts the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division are reporting that quantity of the hunts have been plentiful. The AWFF reported that record 23 captures were reported in one night alone. "This makes sense as more tags were issued this year" stated the AWFF in a Facebook Post.
One of the alligators reported (pictured above) was 13' 7", and 620 lbs.
Alligator hunting has become more popular after the television show 'Swamp People' became popular. The plentiful reptiles are seen on local golf courses, area lagoons and even at the beach. Decades ago the Gulf Shores Police even had a large alligator which maintained residence at the station.
