Patriot Pressure Washing

By now you have probably seen or even shared one of the many pictures from Ron Burkett of his famous power washing art. But did you know this Trussville, Alabama native has made his unique art public on social media before.

For the third time in five years, a Trussville man has created an artful masterpiece that can only be seen from the sky. Ron Burkett has a unique talent. He turns his driveway into unique and detailed scenes with the stroke of a pressure washer.

This year, the patriotic scene is just in time for the Fourth of July holiday. Burkett said he has planned this design for three years. The driveway art shows the Statue of Liberty and the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels streaking across the sky.

Burkett can now plan for his next masterpiece, although he said it will be a while. He will eventually pressure-wash the entire driveway to make a clean canvas. Then he will have to wait.

"I have to wait for my driveway to get dirty each time," Burkett said. "It'll be about three years before it'll be dirty enough to do anything else."

In the meantime, he hopes his patriotism inspires others.

"Maybe we can just be a country again," Burkett said. "I want people to think of looking at the country and the politics from a higher point of view. If we get out of the minutia of all the media and just look at our country from a higher point of view, just step away and look at what we've done, maybe we could all come together as a country and appreciate what we have."
