Bama Coast Cruisin' is set to bring the rumble of engines and the gleam of chrome back to The Wharf in Orange Beach as the popular car show returns for another year. The event has become a tradition for auto enthusiasts and families who enjoy walking among classic and custom vehicles along the waterfront. Organizers expect another strong turnout, with more than 100 vehicles lined up for spectators to admire. The show remains free to attend, making it an easy weekend outing for locals and visitors alike.

The 17th annual spring edition of Bama Coast Cruisin' will take place from April 23 to April 25 at The Wharf. During this three-day event, public show hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Participants and vendors will begin their setup starting at 8 a.m. each day. Visitors will have the opportunity to stroll through the entertainment district, chat with car owners, and take photos of polished hot rods, muscle cars, and restored classics.

Organizers describe the spring show as a laid-back, family-friendly weekend set against the backdrop of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Canal Bridge in Orange Beach. Their goal is to create an inclusive event with no restrictions on the types of vehicles that can enter, inviting everything from antiques to late-model customs. “Our motto is, ‘Bring your dream ride and cruise with us,’” organizers say, adding that anyone who loves cars and the open road is welcome. The setting offers visitors a mix of automotive eye candy and coastal scenery.

In addition to the cars, the event will feature food vendors, exhibitors, swap meets, and a live DJ spinning tunes throughout the weekend. One of the weekend's highlights is the Saturday Beach Cruise, a police-escorted drive that takes participants on a 15.7-mile route from The Wharf starting at about 4:15 pm. They will travel east on Canal Road to Orange Beach Blvd., to Perdido Beach Blvd. From there, they will travel east and go over the Perdido Pass Bridge, circle around under the bridge, and take the same route back to the Wharf. The cruise moves at a relaxed pace of about 25 miles per hour, giving drivers a chance to show off their vehicles while enjoying coastal views. Spectators along the route often line up to wave, snap photos, and take in the long line of classic and custom rides rolling by.

The event has gained a loyal following along the Gulf Coast, attracting car owners and enthusiasts from across the region year after year.
