Youth Reach Gulf Coast is a Baldwin ministry helping young men to get a 2nd chance

Youth-Reach Gulf Coast is a Christ-centered, long-term residential ministry in Summerdale, Alabama offering young men ages 18–22 a second chance to heal, grow, and thrive — at absolutely no cost to families. The cherished local group holds annual events to support the organization.

Golfers and community supporters are gearing up for the fifth annual Joey Jones Golf Classic, set to bring excitement and fellowship to the Gulf Shores area. The event promises a full day of golf, great food, and friendly competition on one of the region’s most scenic courses. Organizers say the tournament continues to grow each year, drawing players from across Alabama and beyond. Proceeds from the event support a local ministry that impacts lives throughout the community.

The tournament will take place on Tuesday, May 12, at Kiva Dunes Resort on the Fort Morgan peninsula. Check-in begins at 10 a.m., and play officially starts at 11 a.m. Teams can register for $1,200 each, with four players per team. Sponsorships are also available for local businesses and individuals who want to show their support.

Kiva Dunes Golf Course is located at 815 Plantation Road, Gulf Shores, AL 36542
(map).

This year’s golf classic introduces a new and thrilling attraction — a helicopter golf ball drop. For $100, participants can purchase a numbered golf ball and watch hundreds of them dropped onto the fairway from above. The ball landing closest to the target wins a $5,000 cash prize, adding an extra level of fun to the day.

All funds raised will benefit YRGC, which organizers describe as “a life-changing ministry.” The group works to strengthen faith and to provide outreach to those in need of encouragement and guidance.

Further details and online registration are available on
Redeemed Events' official website, where golfers can sign up or learn more about sponsorship opportunities.

Since its debut five years ago, the Joey Jones Golf Classic has become a favorite among golfers and charitable supporters along the Gulf Coast. Past events have raised thousands of dollars toward faith-based outreach and community projects supported by YRGC. Organizers say the classic continues to help create new opportunities for those seeking hope and transformation across the region.
